Opioid Epidemic Recovery Scholarship Winners

Cierra Price is 28, living in St. Louis, Missouri, with her husband and their two young daughters, ages 1 and 3. She is a full-time nursing student at the University of Missouri in St. Louis, and looks forward to graduation in 2022. Both of her parents were paramedics, and she wants to go into emergency medicine—hopefully as a flight nurse—and specialize in trauma.

“Being awarded this scholarship is so incredibly touching and validating—of all the scholarships I’ve applied for, the essay I wrote for this one was the most genuine and vulnerable of all. I think that it is so very admirable that this growing issue is being recognized by the Law Offices of Eisenberg & Associates, and I’m honored that my voice on this matter stood out. My journey to recovery was a long and difficult one, and my being back in school wouldn’t have been an opportunity at all without my being sober today.
